About Childhelp Foster Family/Adoption Agency 

In 1988, Childhelp opened the Redlands Foster Family Agency  to meet one of the state's most pressing child welfare needs. In 2009 the facility became a fully licensed adoption agency as well. The Childhelp Foster Family/ Adoption Agency of California has successfully united children deserving of love, compassion and hope with families who are willing and capable of giving it to them. The agency actively recruits, certifies and trains foster and adoptive families throughout Southern California. Among the valuable continuum of care, Childhelp provides the following services: family and individual counseling, case management, free, on-going foster family training, foster family certification, adoption home studies,  and 24-hour support and crisis intervention.

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for on-going supervision of the Adoption Social Workers and other staff as assigned.  Perform program development and evaluation, participate in fiscal and operational management and oversee the quality of services provided by the office.

Essential Responsibilities: 

Maintain the Childhelp Adoption Program through the adherence to the written program statement, program evaluation and participation in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Ensure the Adoption Program is in compliance with all State of California and County regulations and community standards. 

Ensure that S.A.F.E. Home Studies are complete, including all documentation document and approval of applicants per regulations.

Provide clinical supervision to Adoption Social Workers to ensure the level of quality in provision of services.

Provide efficient and effective mechanisms to ensure timely intake and assessments of new clients on a 24/7 basis.

Conduct and maintain professional working relationships with clinical,  social work and support staff.

Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with all community agency and service staff members.

Coordinate and participate in the development and presentation of training for staff and foster family/adoptive parents.

Conduct all assigned duties in a professional, and ethical manner that protects the rights and dignity of all clients, families and employees served by the Adoption Agency.

Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Foster Family/Adoption Agency.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess Master's Degree in Social Work and be a licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage Family Therapist plus three years of full time social work employment in the field of family or child welfare, and two years experience supervising staff in clinical support positions with administrative/financial responsibilities
  • Must be able to pass a full background clearance, possess a valid clear State of California Driver's license and be flexible and have the ability to support the program 24/7
  • Bilingual abilities a plus
