Job Summary:


Childhelp USA, a premiere Residential Treatment Facility and group home for children 6-14 years of age with severe emotional and behavioral challenges in the hills above Beaumont, California has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Coordinator.
In this role and in accordance with applicable COA standards, you will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Programs to ensure that the California programs are operating efficiently and effectively, are in compliance with Title XXII and related regulations, and support the mission, vision, principles and ethics of the organization.  The incumbent will review company practices to ensure adherence to applicable Compliance and HIPAA regulations, provide training to staff, oversee various committees and functions, make recommendations and implement strategies to improve performance, as well as document activities and maintain records regarding the company’s efforts to improve its overall performance. The incumbent is also responsible for producing reports and documents according to an established schedule as well as ad hoc reports on short notice.  


QUALIFICATIONS:
The qualified candidate will have at least a Master’s degree in one of the Behavioral Sciences (M.S.W. preferred) and at least five years experience working in a residential treatment setting, plus a minimum of 2 years experience working in the QA/QI function. Knowledge of Title XXII and related Regulations, COA accreditation standards and working knowledge of Community Care Licensing Requirements for residential programs required.  Excellent computer and Word/Excel/Power Point skills, college level writing abilities, competency with public speaking and effectively working with accreditation and licensing surveyors is essential to being successful in this role.

The Childhelp Merv Griffin Village is located in Beaumont, California.  Beaumont is 90 miles east of Los Angeles and 30 miles west of Palm Springs off Highway 10.  The Village has been providing a healing home environment for severely abused, neglected, and at-risk children since 1978.  Producing a true community atmosphere, the Village houses as many as 84 children ranging in age from 6 to 14 years old.  The residents live in cottages and are grouped by age and treatment needs.  The children arrive at the Village experiencing severe behavioral and emotional problems as a result of their previous abusive or neglectful situations.
