Position Summary:

This Internship will provide exposure to many aspects of integrated marketing with a primary focus on social media, graphic design, inbound and outbound marketing strategy, and content creation. Learning objectives are achieved through training, observation, and “learning-by-doing” under close supervision with constructive feedback. The responsibilities below will be accomplished through a mentor-trainee relationship.


Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

    • Scheduling posts

    • Monitoring reviews, comments, and messages

  • Create monthly editorial calendars that are timely, relevant, engaging, and in alignment with pre-developed social media strategy

  • Create social media graphics, as needed (campaign specific and organizational branding)

  • Assisting with providing social media support to Chapters and programs

  • Work with team members to develop and understand digital marketing strategies

  • Draft as-needed communications, content for blogs, website and social media

  • Assist in SEO and content marketing in order to grow visibility in organic search engine results

  • Assist in technical and creative elements to improve rankings and drive traffic to website

  • Ensure proper messaging is being executed online across all channels

  • Monitor social channels for trending news and ideas

  • Assist with capturing and analyzing social media insights and analytics

  • Opportunity to work on other marketing projects, as assigned


Minimum Requirements:

  • Extremely detail oriented with strong attention to follow-through

  • Strong writing skills

  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form

  • Flexible in work functions and duties

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Exceptional time-management skills

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Adobe creative suite experience

  • PC proficiency and strong skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel) essential
